Winterfest in Chatham this Weekend!

Winterfest will be held Friday and Saturday and shop and restaurant owners are gearing up for a festive weekend. Storefronts and display windows have been decorated and plans are underway for special events, activities and holiday sales. Friday night will begin with caroling at 6:45pm around the gazebo and Santa will arrive by fire truck at 7pm. There will be refreshments, face-painting and hot chocolate! On Saturday you can find storybook reading, horse and carriage rides, crafts, a free movie screening of ‘The Polar Express’ at The Crandell, live music at Chatham Brewery, a performance of Benjamin Britten’s ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ performed at 2nd. space above the Book Store, Judy Staber will read ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ at the bookstore,Ruth Reichl will sign her new book there as well, entitled ‘My Kitchen Year’, wine will be chosen and poured by Chatham Wine Owner and Expert Karen Kaczmar, and cheese and crackers selected by Bimi’s Cheese Shop will be served. It’s going to be a wonderful, and festive weekend in Chatham. Come One, Come All!
