Winter Blahs? Here are some ways to warm up and have some fun!

There are so many ways to fight the winter doldrums when the cold and dark, short days get you down. In Chatham you can step inside the local pub, Peint o’Graw and warm up with good company, music and your favorite ale.

The Blue Plate restaurant, also in Chatham, features Lincoln Mayorga, with Otto Gardner and his world-class jazz trio on Wednesday nights in their pub downstairs.

And, if it’s a different kind of pub you might be seeking, The Ghent Playhouse stage will be transformed into an Irish pub called the Weir, somewhere on Ireland’s Northwest coast, as the Playhouse continues its 41st. season with Conor McPherson’s award-winning “The Weir.”
The play opens January 22nd. and runs through February 7, with performances 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 2pm Sundays. Tickets are $20 each, $17 for Friends of the Playhouse, and $10 for students with ID. Or, call and reserve: 1-800-838-3006.

One other thing to think about, did you know that spring is only 8 weeks away!?! Now, that’s something to smile about!
