Film Makers and Antique Buffs Abound!

Columbia County keeps getting better! Hudson has seen actors and producers roaming the streets recently, dining at the areas’ many wonderful restaurants, and generally causing a stir of excitement, as the filming of an Indie movie production is taking place. More and more producers and directors are targeting Hudson and the Valley to shoot films that require beautiful, natural scenery combined with historic and other interesting buildings, arts and artifacts. The hills are jumping with creative people and productions. Many have decided to stay and make the area home away from home.

Equally exciting is the continued interest in antiques. Dan Farrell creative producer of ‘The Antiques Roadshow’ recently moved to Chatham New York. Antique lovers and dealers have long found Columbia County the perfect place to find, source, buy and sell authentic antiques. Hudson, NY is now known as a prime location to find original antiques, as dealers have lined Warren Street with antique shops for more than a decade.

Columbia County has been discovered for quite a while now, offering world class music, art, theater, dining,all only two hours to NYC, Boston,within shooting distance to Tanglewood and the Berkshires, and Albany Airport only 30 minutes away. It’s all here! What more could one ask for?
